Rio Hotel Branding

Rio Hotel is a boutique Hotel in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The hotel is based on the Rio Carnival because it is a major event that Rio is known for and it is a huge part of their culture. I wanted to incorporate the Carnival and all its party aspects into the theme of the hotel. I used the carnival women with all their feathers and costumes as the mascot.

The challenge for this project was using an extensive color palette. I chose a wide color palette for the hotel because Rio is a very vibrant city that is colorful and full of life. All the colors really bring in the personality of Rio De Janeiro. I created five patterns that use carnival imagery as well. The color palette, illustrations, and patterns offer the hotel extensive options when it comes to marketing a franchise/chain.
